Hi Loves!
Today I am sharing my personal experiences with the NEW Innisfree product line that launched back in spring 2015 this year. Since I live in Korea at the moment, I was able to get my hands on some products as soon as they came out! I picked up only 2 products from the Innisfree Jeju Sparkling Mineral line, the Innisfree Jeju Sparkling Mineral Mist and the Innisfree Jeju Sparkling Mineral Cream.
Today, I will be reviewing the Innisfree Jeju Sparkling Mineral cream, which I think is one of the best cream for dry skin types.
Let’s start off with what the product claims to do.
Claims
The Innisfree Jeju Sparkling Mineral Cream claims to provide the skin with rich mineral spa water straight from Jeju island. This cream contains 69.9% thermal mineral spa water.
Contains no alcohol, paraden, artificial fragrance, artificial color, animal ingredients, or mineral oil.
It’s translucent texture absorbs quickly into the skin.
Contains Ceramides to help the skin rebuild its natural moisture barrier to protect the and heal the skin.
Packaging & Texture
The cream comes in a plastic jar. It does not come with a spatula making it not the most hygienic like all other Innisfree cream jar products. So if you are concerned about this, make sure to purchase a cosmetic spatula or wash your hands before using.
The texture of the cream is that of have cream and half gel. It has a very bouncy feel that is watery. It spreads evenly over the skin with easy and absorbs quickly like it claims. However for me, this cream leave a “film” feeling over the skin that does not sit well under makeup. It will easily clump with makeup, so it is best to use this cream only at night and during the day if needed, use it only on targeted areas. As per-usual, I love the smell of this cream, it has the classic Innisfree scent that is very light and fresh.
Effects & Overall
The cream provides my skin with instant moisture and hydration! It immediately makes my skin feel calmed and soothed as well as hydrated. When used at night, when I wake up in the morning, any dry patches I had were gone and my skin felt moist and plump. The only down side for me with this cream is that is can sometimes clog my pores. But these are usually very mild and the only action I need to take is to not use the cream for 1 or 2 days to allow my pores to breathe. Because of this, I do not use this cream daily, but only when my skin feels like it needs and extra kick of deep moisture.
Overall this moisturizer is certainly the best cream for dry skin but more so for those who are younger such as late teens and early top mid 20’s. Anyone above this age will probably need a cream that is more rich. This cream is suitable for mild dry skin. If you have severely dry skin, you might need to include a repairing serum in your routine 🙂
